Associate of Arts in Management
Associate of Arts in Accounting Program
92 Quarter Units
This program is designed to provide the graduate with the skills necessary to assume bookkeeping, accounting, computerized accounting, word processing, and other related business functions in the organization.
For applicants interested in training to become accounting or bookkeeping professionals, this program is strongly recommended. This program provides a strong proficiency in this specialized profession. Students are taught keyboarding skills, accounting principles and theories which are enhanced through their use in practical applications on microcomputer systems. The students are given broad academic and intensive specialized training to develop professional skills in accounting principles.
Degree Requirements
- Successfully complete a minimum of 92 quarter units of the following coursework with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale:
Complete 28 quarter units of general education courses.
Complete 52 quarter units of common core courses.
Complete 12 quarter units of unrestricted electives.
Successfully complete the degree requirements within the time limit.
Time Limit
The AA in Accounting program must be completed within 3 years from the time the student commenced the first course, as a regular student, which applies to the degree requirements. This time limit, at the option of the university, may be extended due to special extenuating circumstances.

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Martial Arts Program is designed to meet the educational needs working adults in an expanding global economy. The B.B.A. in Martial Arts Program emphasizes in the study of accounting, management, marketing and economics which lays a foundation for later study in business administration.
Completion of B.B.A. In Martial Arts program requirements ensures students will comprehend the relationships among marketing, quantitative theory, accountancy, economic principles and financial and human organizational management,
B.B.A. in Martial Arts Program includes 48 major Martial Arts program, workshop, research, seminar, internship and internship project. This curriculum gives students the fundamental education for career opportunities and advancement in martial arts business administration.
The B.B.A. in Martial Arts Program is designed for students who are strongly interested and motivated in the business field and conscious and responsible individuals. Students who enroll in the program will be exposed to business environments during class while discussing topics critical to the career field.
Business Administration in Martial Arts Program is designed for students in which degree in the Bachelor and Master Degrees are granted.
Martial artist now have a place to study and further pursue the martial arts fields.

The Doctor of Business Administration Programs
DBA Concentration in international Marketing Management
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs emphasize discovery of new knowledge that can be applied to enhance successful management of discontinuous change in business firms, government organizations and other non-profit organizations. The doctoral program prepares students for advanced positions in management or consulting, or entry into teaching and research.
The Business and Management Division at Life University School of Management is committed to excellence in the formulation and delivery of programs in a climate that includes:
Admission Criteria
Candidates wishing to have their application considered for the DBA degree must meet the following criteria:
- A master’s degree in business, management, or related field from an educational institution with established and recognized programs in business and management.
- A graduate GPA of at least 3.0.
- Two letters of recommendation from previous professors or employers commenting on the applicant’s ability to do doctoral research work.
Transfer Credit
Applicants who have completed equivalent master and doctoral courses at other regionally accredited universities with a grade of B or higher may, with the approval of the Director of Graduate Business Programs, have those identical course transferred into their programs. Students desiring to transfer credit for coursework completed at another college/university will need to make a formal request which includes:
- A list of the Life University courses for which the student is interested in getting credit
- Official transcript(s) indicating courses that may be equivalent
- Descriptions and syllabi for the course (s)
These materials are submitted to the Dean of School of Business for review. The final approval will rest with the Dean of School of Business.
General Requirements
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all coursework. Students failing to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the end of any semester will be placed on academic warning and must correct the deficiency by the following semester or be subject to academic dismissal from the doctoral program.
Students who have completed their formal coursework must pass the Final Comprehensive Exam in which candidates demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of their respective areas. The examination must be passed prior to the proposal defense. Students who fail the exam may repeat it once at the next time it is offered. Students who fail the examination for the second time are automatically dismissed from the program.
Doctoral Degree Requirements
The Doctor of Business Administration programs are designed to provide a multidisciplinary and global perspective for managers and to emphasize the use of both practical and theoretical abilities. The programs encourage the assimilation of ideas from business administration, the humanities and the behavioral sciences.
The curriculum for the doctoral degree in business consists of the following: core courses (shared with the master’s programs); concentration courses (some of which are shared with the master’s programs); interdepartmental electives (doctoral level); doctoral research courses; and dissertation courses. As in the master’s program, a student will have to complete appropriate prerequisite (survey) courses if a student’s previous academic preparation is deemed to be lacking.
Prerequisites for the Doctoral Degree
A student’s academic transcripts will be evaluated and, if any prerequisites are lacking, appropriate foundation courses must be taken. All foundation courses are 4 units each.
